J.B. Hunt to Test Hydrogen-Fueled Vehicles

NWA Daily

J.B. Hunt Transport Services Inc. in Lowell announced that the company will begin testing hydrogen-fueled electric trucks next year as part of new program.

  • The vehicles will be powered by fuel cubes made up of more than 300 hydrogen fuel cells, and manufactured by Navistar International. General Motors is responsible for manufacturing the system.
  • The trucks will have an expected fuel range of about 500 miles and can be refueled in 15 minutes, Navistar said. OneH2 will provide the fueling services.
  • “J.B. Hunt is committed to delivering more while using less, and this new fully-integrated solution offers a prime opportunity to do that,” said J.B. Hunt CEO John Roberts. -Arkansas Business
