Right of Passage

City of Fayetteville

Fayetteville's cultural arts corridor, occupying 50 acres of outdoor space between Dickson Street and Prairie Street along the Razorback Greenway, has finally been given a name - "The Ramble".

  • Narrowing it down: The name itself is meant to communicate an unhurried pace and open-mindedness and is also a nod to Arkansas-born musician Levon Helm. Helm hosted Midnight Ramble sessions at his home in Woodstock, New York, until 2012.
  • Along the way: The natural area along Tanglewood Branch Creek has been named "Tanglewood Park," a reference to the creek as well as the restored waterway that connects to The Ramble.

The naming precedes projects that will transform The Ramble into an essential outdoor stop. Take a flyover tour HERE.
