New Year, New Budget For Some NWA Cities

NWA Daily

The New Year is starting off on a high note for Northwest Arkansas cities as they enter with larger budgets for the 2023 year and beyond. Fayetteville and Springdale are among the cities that are expecting to have more funds for various projects and programs.

  • Focus on logistics: Fayetteville has a budget of $500M for the new fiscal year, which is an increase of $30M from the previous year, and plans to allocate additional funds for transportation and housing.
  • Safety first: Springdale, on the other hand, has a budget of $135M and is planning to put some of the funds towards improving infrastructure and public safety. Overall, it seems like the Ozarks area cities are in a strong financial position heading into the new year, with larger budgets that will enable them to undertake projects that will benefit the community.
