Northwest Arkansas Sales Tax Revenue Jumps 14% In April

Northwest Arkansas saw a 14.2% increase in sales tax revenue for April 2023 compared to April 2022, for a combined revenue of $8.394m. Year-to-date totals have climbed to $35.948m, up 12% from the same period last year.

  • April showers: Rogers led the pack for April gains, posting a 16.68% gain in sales tax revenue at nearly $2.122m. Fayetteville followed close behind, bringing in $2.413m, up 15.66%.
  • Bigger picture: When it comes to year-to-date totals, Bentonville has had a huge start to 2023, showing a 19.84% increase compared to the same months last year. Springdale was the only city to miss double-digit gains when it came to April but was second for year-to-date growth, up 10.56%
