Two Northwest Arkansas projects designed by local architect and professor Marlon Blackwell received awards of national significance.

• AIA: The American Institute of Architects revealed the winners of the 2021 Interior Architecture Awards, which included Co-Op Ramen in Bentonville. AIA selected seven projects across the nation that were designed with a "sense of place and purpose, ecology and environmental sustainability, and history" - Co-Op was one of those selected.

• In the Wood Design & Building Awards category, Thaden School Bike Barn in Bentonville was one of three projects recognized with an Honor Award — and the only project of those located in the US. The Co-Op Ramen was again recognized as one of nine projects with a Merit Award.
