Stuck inside? Getting outdoors is a safe and fun way to keep yourself sane in the midst of lockdowns and quarantines. However, as more are heading outside, the outdoor industry is struggling to keep pace with the demand for recreational equipment.

• Chally Sims, owner of Pack Rat Outdoor Center in Fayetteville, said she's never seen such a high demand for kayaks. "I'm willing to bet a lot of people learned a lot about the state they live in, just this year," Sims said.
• As retail boomed, outdoor service providers that coordinate excursions or guided tours, were forced to be creative as new social distancing measures and precautions were put into place. Businesses like Ozark Adventure and Recreation finally began to see a spike in sales by the summer months after a slow start to the season. -KUAF
