Our local transit provider based in Springdale is taking initiative amidst a growing place for public transportation.

• Thinking ahead: After hiring a consultant last month for a new 10-year transit development plan, the Ozark Regional Transit Authority (ORT) is in the process of restructuring its board to establish a more unified purpose and articulation for its role in regional mobility.
• Preparing for more: The ORT will restructure its board before any further steps are taken for the new development plan. However, the plan is projected to “improve and expand transit in Northwest Arkansas” as ridership levels increase due to local events like football games and cycling races.
