Residential Building Pace Dips In NWA

Compared to the first four months of last year, the residential permit building activity for single-family homes in Northwest Arkansas is slightly behind pace. 

  • Still building: Through April, 604 residential building permits were issued in Bentonville, Fayetteville, Springdale, and Rogers. Last year, there were 638 in the same period. The value of properties is up 44.4% from last year, however, with a combined value of $281.35 million. 
  • Permits for homes: Officials in Bentonville issued 160.6% more permits than last year, with 245 through April. Fayetteville officials issued 211 permits in the first four months of this year, Rogers officials issued 93, and Springdale officials issued 55.
