President David Kabua of the Republic of the Marshall Islands made a stop in NW Arkansas last week, meeting with constituents during the Manit Day celebration at the Jones Center Community Park. 

• Arkansas: During his stay, President Kabua was hosted by Arkansas Marshallese Consul General Eldon Alik, and he spoke about pressing Marshallese human rights, politics, and social justice. 
• United Nations: Prior to his visit, President Kabua presented concerns to the 77th Session of the General Assembly of the United Nations in New York on Sept. 20th.
