Tax Revenue In NWA Continues To Grow

The collective sales tax revenue for the “big four” was up almost 14% according to the March report, and each city’s gains are in the double digits.

  • The latest: The March report shows the numbers from the 1% tax charged for goods and services in January. The four cities collected a total of $7.64m of revenue, according to March’s report. Rogers was up 11.87% in revenue, Bentonville +22.23%, Fayetteville +10.56%, and Springdale +11.83%.
  • Up in numbers: Compared to the first three months of reports from 2021, the four cities have collected 13.28% more revenue from sales tax this year. The collective revenue from the first three reports is $24.75m.
