NWA sees bank deposits grow amid pandemic… - Talk Business

  • Background – During the early and mid-stages of the Covid crisis, Northwest Arkansas bank customers “put away more than $3 billion of additional deposits in the spring, reflecting record-high federal stimulus funds to combat the economic fallout of COVID-19.”
  • Stats – 39 banks operating 305 branches held $18.7 billion in deposits as of June 30. This included Benton, Washington, and four surrounding counties. According to FDIC, that is up nearly 20% from the following year
