Siloam Springs & Fayetteville Named Volunteer Communities Of The Year

NWA Daily

Two Northwest Arkansas cities have been named a 2021 Volunteer Community of the Year.

  • Positive impacts: Both Siloam Springs and Fayetteville received the prestigious award from a panel of judges composed of distinguished citizens across the state. The award is meant to recognize municipalities that seek and meet the needs of the community engagement.
  • Civic service: Siloam Springs was recognized due to the community's efforts to address food insecurity and hunger. Fayetteville was recognized for its waste-diversion services, native ecology protection and restoration, and environmental cleanup events.
