SoNA Continues Season With "Mother And Child" Performance This Weekend

Symphony of Northwest Arkansas

Let the Symphony of Northwest Arkansas pull all your heartstrings this Saturday, Jan 7, at 7:30p in a performance that explores the love that exists across time between a Mother and Child.

  • Be still my heart: Experience the joyous notes of the show's namesake piece, Mother and Child, composed by William Grant Still, the first African American composer to be performed by a major symphony orchestra and heralded as the "Dean of African American Composers."
  • A mother's cry: The SoNA Singers will lend their voices to Leonard Bernstein's popular choral work, Chichester Psalms, and the haunting sounds of Henryk Górecki’s Symphony of Sorrows will be performed with help from award-winning soprano Miriam Khalil.

Get your tickets HERE before this becomes SoNA's fourth sold-out performance in a row!
