Project owners released plans yesterday for a new affordable housing project that will break ground in east Springdale mid 2022. 

• For renters: The new Spring Creek Village will be for mixed-income and multi-family residents as a direct response to the high demand for affordable housing in Northwest Arkansas. It will be on 6.3 acres about 1 mile from The Jones Center. 
• First steps: The project is a public-private partnership, possible due to City infrastructure contribution, Opportunity Zone tax incentives, and development funds. The hope is these resources will allow for the replication of this project across NWA.
