The Trail to Tokyo

NWA Daily (Centennial Park, Fayetteville)

The pathway to Tokyo runs through Northwest Arkansas this weekend and the following. Amateurs and experts will compete in the OZ Trails Pro Cup at Centennial Park in Fayetteville.

  • The OZ Trails Pro Cup will "host professional men and women cross-country mountain bike racers from around the globe, while also featuring the top men and women from North America." As part of the U.S. Cup Series, these races will give riders an opportunity to qualify for the Summer Olympics in Tokyo by offering critical UCI points.

  • The event begins this Friday and runs through Sunday, April 11, and will be picked up again April 16-18. The multi day event is free and open to the public. Racing, crashes, beer, food, and live music can all be found at Centennial this weekend.

  • Volunteers are still needed for the event if you would like to participate. If you want to learn more, you can check out their website HERE.

If you haven't checked out Centennial Park in person, we would recommend watching this course preview - it is insane...
