Time to Slow Things Down

Starting next Friday April 30, local cycling coalition, BikeNWA will be slowing down neighborhood traffic in Fayetteville, Rogers, and Bentonville for bipeds and bicycles.

  • What is this? Slow Streets NWA's purpose "is to calm traffic on neighborhood streets to create safer places for people to walk, bike, and explore their cities for recreation and transportation." BikeNWA's hope is that "these slower streets will make it easier and more accessible for our communities to exercise, make trips to local businesses and explore NWA."

  • Who is it for? Everyone. Routes are designed to be accessible and open to all community members, not just serious cyclists and competitive athletes. The Slow Streets NWA team works to create routes that are family-friendly and designed for users of all ages, backgrounds and abilities.
