UA and Bella Vista Announce COVID-19 Updates and Closures

The University of Arkansas has released an updated COVID-19 response plan for the spring semester.

  • “While the guiding principles of the spring guide generally remain the same, some of the new content is significant,” said Charles Robinson, provost and executive vice chancellor for academic and student affairs. -KNWA/Fox 24
  • Personal hygiene kits and workspace cleaning kits will be provided to new students and faculty. Guidance for travel and events remain the same, social distancing measures will remain in place, and the UA will follow the Arkansas Department of Health's COVID-19 vaccination plan, although there is no guarantee that vaccines will be available for the general university population in the spring.

Bella Vista city facilities will be closed to non-emergency public traffic through January 2021. This is an effort to slow the spread of COVID-19 as hospitalizations and deaths continue to rise in the area.
