• Di-verse: In recent weeks Walmart has made some moves suggesting it will soon be entering into the metaverse. The company has been exploring emerging technologies and is looking at ways to be at he forefront of the evolving shopping experience. 
• Online ownership: Some of these emerging technologies include a non fungible tokens (NFTs), which Walmart could soon start buying and selling. Recent trademark filings suggest Walmart will soon introduce a cryptocurrency alongside an NFT market and begin selling virtual goods, e.g. toys and electronics.
