Weekend Roundup

NWA Daily

Happy Friday, everyone! Here are a few fun shenanigans to consider getting into this weekend:

  • Paving the way: Celebrate Women's Empowerment Night with the No. 16 Razorback Gymnastics team as they take on No. 19 Minnesota tonight, Mar 10, at 6:45p, in Bud Walton Arena.
  • On the map: Escape into ethereal melodies and poetic lyrics with legendary lo-fi musician Bill Callahan at Mount Sequoyah on Friday, Mar 10, at 7p.
  • Pig run: The 6th annual Running of the Hogs 5k/10k will set loose Saturday morning, Mar 11, at 8a, including a new 1-mile option this year called the Hog Jog.
  • Making friends: Join Best Friends Animal Society as they open the new Pet Resource Center and maybe meet your next pet this Saturday, Mar 11, at 9:45a.
  • Fresh frescoes: Witness the first major exhibition of Diego Rivera's work in over two decades at Crystal Bridges this Saturday, Mar 11, as they open the Diego Rivera's America exhibit.
  • First listen: The Symphony of Northwest Arkansas will perform New Canons on Saturday, Mar 11, at 7:30p at Walton Arts Center, showcasing pieces from its upcoming album.
  • On clouds: Sip cloud-themed cocktails with Washington Post "Best Bartender" recipient Adam Bernbach at TheatreSquared's Dark & Stormy Popup Bar, open Thurs-Sat evenings from 6-10p.

P.S. Clocks spring forward for Daylight Savings Time this weekend, meaning we'll lose an hour of sleep Saturday night. So don't stay out too late... actually, stay out as long as you want. We're not your parents. See you Monday!
