Remote, preferably local to NWA for occasional in-person interactions.

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced business bookkeeper/accountant to join our dynamic team. This role is ideal for a stay-at-home parent, someone seeking work-life balance, or a small firm interested in a unique and exciting client.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain financial records using QuickBooks or any suitable ERP product.
  • Handle billing processes and manage all expenses.
  • Perform quarterly book closing activities, including taxes.
  • Administer basic payroll for a team of fewer than 10 employees.
  • Collaborate closely with the Founder for strategic financial decision-making.
  • Contribute to budgeting, financial planning, accounts payable/receivable, and comprehensive payroll management.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in bookkeeping/accounting, particularly in a business environment.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks or similar accounting software; openness to different ERP systems.
  • Ability to work limited hours per week/month, with flexibility in dictating billing dates and limiting activity to certain periods of the month.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
